description of RSS information, rss reader and my yahoo info.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication", it is a new standard in providing information to you. Instead of sending mass-mail to our customers, we adopt the latest Internet practice that allow the customer to get information from us when they want it. All feeds from the Sampson store are based on the RSS 2.0 specification. RSS is a standard for syndicating frequently updated content from a site via a newsreader. Below are three readers that work well. To use the feeds listed on the Sampson store, drag the "RSS XML" image for each subscription you want into the Subscriptions pane of the newsreader application window; or copy the URL indicated in the pop-up window when you click on the "RSS XML" links.
My Yahoo (for Yahoo users)
Yahoo! believes RSS has tremendous potential to make it easier for people find, share, and subscribe to news and information on the Internet. Yahoo created excitement in the RSS community when Yahoo! News started syndication in August 2003. Anyone who agrees to the Terms of Service of Yahoo! can now distribute Yahoo! News headlines or read them in an RSS newsreader.
Yahoo! also uses RSS to syndicate Ask Yahoo!, a daily question and answer column, and the Yahoo! Buzz Index, which highlights top searches and movers in a variety of categories.
